Join our unique small-group tour that ventures off the beaten track to explore the stunning terrain of The Remarkables Range. Suitable for all ages (7+) and fitness levels, this tour includes all necessary equipment, transport to/from The Remarkables mountain, as well as a hot drink and light snack.

Snowshoes go on over your own hiking boots and are designed to stop you sinking into the snow as far, so it makes it easier to walk in snow and gives you better grip. This means you can enjoy being in the snow even more!

Our Queenstown Snowshoe Tour offers an accessible and rewarding experience, perfect for those with moderate fitness levels.

Snowshoe experience offer both group and private tours. Private tours start from $399.

Location: Basecamp Adventures, 15 Red Oaks Drive, Frankton
Transport
Return transfer from Queenstown accommodation to the meeting point at Base Camp Adventure - $70 (The transport option is $70 per group or pick up location rather than per person)

The restrictions

Physical
Good Level of fitness as you will be walking up/down mountains for approximately 2.5/3.5 HRS.
Accessibility
Guests need to be capable of hiking uphill on moderate terrain for 3 hours. Please book a private trip if you have any limitations that may require a modified trip.
Pregnancy & Babies
This trip is suitable for pregnant women, but not suitable for babies. Please bear in mind that you will be out on the snow for 2.5-3.5 hours.
Children
Minimum age 7 YRS
Children tickets valid for under 18yrs of age.
Family tickets are a maximum of 2 adult tickets.

The common questions

Cameras are recommended, but carried at own risk. No Drones.
Dress warmly in clothing suitable for the snow (no denim or cotton), with waterproof hiking or snow boots (you can hire for $20 PP- please add in notes), sunglasses or goggles, gloves and beanie. We don’t recommend wearing ski jackets and pants as these will be too hot to hike in. Please bring water, snacks, sunscreen and any personal medications that might be needed in a backpack.
Please carry your belongings in a backpack and keep them minimal as you’ll be carrying them throughout the day. Alternatively, you are welcome to leave your belongings in a locked vehicle if you prefer not to carry them.
