If you are self-driving, 20mins prior to flights departure. // If you are getting picked up by us, it will be 30mins prior to the flights departure.

Transport
A courtesy coach is available to pick up and drop off passengers from selected locations or you can self drive to the Heli Pad - we have free parking for our passengers. We are located at 35 Lucas Place, Frankton (near to Queenstown Airport).

The restrictions

Physical
Light Fitness - we do not have a maximum passenger weight, however for the purpose of aircraft weight and balance and in accordance with Civil Aviation Authority standard weights we require all individual passenger weights at the time of booking. Passengers will be weighed again upon check-in to ensure we have accurate weights of all passengers.
Accessibility
We have flown many people in wheelchairs before. However, due to safety reasons, we do ask that they remain in the helicopter during the landings as it can take some time get them in and out. Lastly, we do ask they have someone with them as the pilot will need assistance.
Pregnancy & Babies
For infants we provide extra lap belts so that they are restrained as well as child sized headphones which aren’t connected to the internal PA system. There is no minimum age to fly and we find that toddlers and babies are very comfortable flying – very often they just fall asleep! Even though an infant will sit on your lap, our aircraft manufacturer (Airbus) stipulate there are no more than six passengers on any flight, irrespective of the age of the passenger or whether or not they take up a seat. – infants will be charged at the childs rate. Pregnant women can also fly, its completely up to them if they feel comfortable to do so!
Children
Children aged 0 – 11 years are eligible for child rates. Child rates are calculated at 70% of the adult fare unless otherwise stated. 12 years and over are considered adults.

The common questions

Cameras are recommended for both tours, however be aware these are carried at your own risk.
Because you’ll be outdoors in an alpine environment you will need:

Comfortable walking shoes/boots
Windproof jacket
Warm clothing
Camera, sunglasses, hat, sunblock and any personal items
We do not have lockers, but we are happy to look after any guest’s belongings. You are also allowed to bring backpacks on your flight, these will just be sorted in the rear locker.
Weather plays a big part in what we do and unfortunately none of us have figured out how to control it yet! We don’t fly if we know that the turbulence will be bad or if we know there’s too much cloud around to actually see anything during your ‘scenic’ flight.

To combat all this we always recommend that you book your flight at the start of your stay in Queenstown, so if weather is unfavourable the first day we can reschedule you to the next day. Most of the time this strategy is very successful and we are able to give guests an amazing experience.
