This Adventurous Queenstown To Arrowtown Or Gibbston Valley Bike Tour full-day self-guided ride starts in central Queenstown and follows a spectacular route along lakefront trails, riverside paths, and iconic landmarks including the historic Old Shotover Bridge. Riding through Frankton and onto the Twin Rivers Trail beside the Kawarau and Shotover Rivers, you’ll continue to the Morven Ferry intersection where you can choose to finish in either Arrowtown or the Gibbston Valley. Designed for confident and capable riders, this ride offers varied scenery, hilly terrain, and the freedom to explore at your own pace. E-bikes are highly recommended for a more relaxed and enjoyable experience, especially on the climbs. A return shuttle to Queenstown is included from your chosen endpoint, so there’s no need to ride back.

The restrictions

Physical
This ride is on wide gravel trails, graded either 2 or 3. The minimum riding distance is 35 km (21 miles) with a few decent hills. It is recommended for those who are confident riders with a good level of fitness.
Accessibility
Individuals using wheelchairs may face challenges participating in this activity and is not recommended.
Pregnancy & Babies
Pregnant women should take care while participating in this activity. Participation is at your own risk.
Children
Infant - 0- 4 yrs / Child - 5 - 14yrs.
Children using E-Bikes must be over 140cm tall.
Please Note: The Big Day Out, Arrowtown to Queenstown and The Hugo Tunnel Loop rides are not advised for children as they are a large distance and have hilly terrain.

Cameras are recommended for both tours, however be aware these are carried at your own risk.
Dress for the weather, enclosed footwear is a must.
Bring small bag for you belonging which you will take on tour with you.
