Experience New Zealand’s only glacial boat tour combined with a scenic flight over the Southern Alps on this full-day adventure. Departing from Queenstown at 9:00am, you’ll enjoy a 2-hour round-trip flight with guaranteed window seats, flying along the spine of the South Island and taking in panoramic views of Lake Wanaka, Lake Hawea, Lake Pukaki, the Franz and Fox Glaciers, and the Tasman Glacier within Aoraki Mt. Cook National Park. Upon landing at Mt. Cook Airport on the outskirts of Mt. Cook Village, you’ll be transferred to the Hermitage Hotel and join Glacier Explorers guides for a 30-minute alpine walk through the Tasman Valley moraine. Then, embark on a 1-hour glacial boat tour across Tasman Terminal Lake, cruising past towering ice walls, icebergs, and lateral moraines. After the boat tour, there is time to enjoy a snack at the Hermitage Hotel Cafe with Mt. Cook as your backdrop before returning to Queenstown on a different flight path via the Lindis Pass, offering more spectacular scenery. This experience is available for children aged 4 and above and adults. You will need to be able to walk 1.5km (1 mile) in 25 minutes. This is an alpine walk through the Mt. Cook National Park to the boat departure point.
