Bike To A Brewery
Embark on an unforgettable adventure with our new bike trail, which explores the hidden gems of the Whakatipu Basin. This self-guided ride begins with a shuttle from our Queenstown shop to Arrowtown, where you’ll pick up a bike or E-bike and receive a map and trail tips.
The trail starts by winding its way through the picturesque Countryside Trail, lined with majestic oak, elm, and hawthorn trees. You’ll then connect to the Wharehuanui Trail, which follows the gentle slopes of Mill Creek. Cross over bridges and boardwalks, and take in the stunning views of the native flora that has been carefully restored.
As you ride westward, you’ll be surrounded by the majestic Coronet Peak and the towering Remarkables, their rugged beauty a constant reminder of the region’s natural wonder. The trail then takes you alongside roche moutonnée formations, created by ancient glaciers, before finishing at Arthur’s Point.
After your ride, reward yourself with a well-deserved beer at Gantley’s Tavern or Canyon Brewing. We’ll collect you from there and return you to central Queenstown. The trail is 2 meters wide, mostly Grade 2 (Easy) with some short sections of Grade 3 (Intermediate), making it accessible to riders of all skill levels.
