- The journey to Milford Sound via the scenic Milford Road is just as impressive as the destination itself.
- From Queenstown, Milford Sound is approximately 5-6 hours (one-way) by car, or 3 hours from Te Anau. We recommend staying overnight in Te Anau to break up the journey. Be sure to allow time for sightseeing at the many scenic trails and lookouts along the way.
